Outreach

Our outreach programs are designed to foster psychological health among the elderly and the deprived* children. Our volunteers have visited some remote places of the target areas and have extended their help in the  distribution of food  as well as of some of their basic needs. Our volunteers inform the population about our mission.

On November 24, 2016, we visited a particular elderly boarding care home at Lodi, California and had the privilege to spend time with the residents there on that particular day of Thanksgiving. Most of them did not have families to go, to spend the holiday with. We conducted games and activities tailored for their particular age group. It did not only bring satisfaction to the residents but also to our volunteers.

On October 20, 2016, yet another typhoon (Super Typhoon Lawin or Haima), hit the Philippines and was recorded as the strongest cyclone to hit the country in three years. It displaced thousands of families as it pummeled  the northern part of the country. Our volunteers, spearheaded by Sherwin, organized  an outreach in  a certain village (Barangay Lingu, Solana, Cagayan Valley) situated in Luzon main island region. They not only brought some relief goods, fed the children but also orchestrated de-stress and debrief activities such as games, as means to uplift the spirit of these children and redirect their thoughts to a happier place especially after the traumatic experience they had as a result of the calamity.

Below are some photos gathered by our  volunteers in the aftermath of the typhoon. This is to give the audience a picture of how and what some of our Filipino children experienced at the aftereffects of the typhoon.

We are and will be forever grateful to all the volunteers who help out in the different  outreach programs. Your compassion in serving the people in the community is remarkable! Your kindness will leave a huge impact in their lives …   THANK YOU!

We are so blessed to have one of our volunteers organize a fundraiser for the organization on her birthday. All proceeds for the night were used to purchase goods and supplies for our beneficiaries.
